24 hours left to comment on water-station proposal

Dear friends,

So far, 169 people--you and the people you spread the word to--have used our web form to submit a comment on the government's draft permit allowing No More Deaths and the Tucson Samaritans to place water on the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge for migrants. The deadline for comments is TOMORROW, Monday, May 3. Can we make two urgent requests?

FIRST: If you haven't already told the government that this proposal is COMPATIBLE with the mission of the Refuge, won't you please do so today?

We've been having website problems. If the link above doesn't work for you, please try one of these alternative commenting methods: (1) send an email using your default email program, or (2) see U.S. Fish and Wildlife's announcement for how to submit a comment by fax, email, or postal mail.

SECOND: Please spread the word. We honestly have no idea many negative comments the government has received. This form makes it easy to email your friends and family:

Here is some background information, including the documents published by Fish and Wildlife.

About that last link: posting it on your Facebook profile is another great way to spread the word! It's really easy, just copy and paste the URL where it says "What's on your mind?" Here is the URL written out:

Thank you so much for your support.
